In 2017 and 2018, FAN worked with Unity Productions Foundation (UPF) to promote their Emmy Award nominated docu-drama, The Sultan and the Saint. The film is a powerful depiction of Muslim-Christian encounter as told through the story of St. Francis of Assisi and the Sultan of Egypt. We were an integral part of the world premiere in Washington, DC in 2016, many well-attended premiere screenings and related events nationwide throughout subsequent years, including collaborating with UPF on a two-day summit on building relationships at Georgetown University. The film premiered on PBS television on Dec. 26, 2017 and many communities across the country hosted viewing parties to begin to engage communities in peaceful, inter-religious dialogue.

We are happy to announce the DVD of the film is available for purchase along with a discussion guide FAN staff developed to accompany the film below. (Currently, the DVD is formatted for Region 1 only: U.S., U.S. Territories, Canada, and Bermuda.)

To cover the cost of shipping, we are asking a $25 donation for each DVD. Your tax deductible donation helps continue the mission of FAN to bring a Franciscan voice to Capitol Hill and across the US on important issues like interfaith dialogue and peace-building.
