FAN staff participated in the 2022 March for Life in Washington, D.C. under a “consistent ethic of life” banner on Friday, Jan 21.
This value is sacred to all Franciscans, who are dedicated to a profound respect for human life and supporting the most vulnerable, including unborn children and women in crisis pregnancies. With the possible overturning of Roe v. Wade later this year and changes in laws governing abortion, we have noted an increased interest among pro life advocates in maternal and child health care, childcare, and early childhood education. FAN continues to be active in advocating better laws and policies on such issues, which will be critical to supporting pro life decisions.
FAN staff participating included Advocacy Director Sr. Maria Orlandini, Creation Care Associate Sr. Louise Lears, and Executive Director Michele Dunne. We were joined by Rebekah Galucki who is a member of the Washington, DC Franciscan Justice Circle.
