Realizing they’re trying to have civil discourse with another who have quite different perspectives With underlying emotions, I have been part of at least 10 zoom calls with Classmates who attended a Franciscan seminary. There has been preparation and prayer before and after our interactions to build a relationship. We have an actual two day reunion toward the end of April to do the same. Sometime after union, I will ask about having a conversation to understand our differences and Pray that we both listen to understand each other and our Perspectives. The moral of story is be very mindful and intentional and prayerful to develop a relationship to even think about having a civil discourse. jeremiah ofs
