One of the advice tips made by Robert in being a Re-Humanizer was “actually get to know someone on the other side, be in relationship with them”. This struck me as VERY Franciscan, and that doesn’t make it easier necessarily, but it does make it an even stronger imperative that we cannot escape out of discomfort or whatever “bitter” feelings we experience.
