The day before the presentation on the FAN the celebrant at Mass talked about the impact of words on society and us as individuals. Then I participated in the Presentation on Monday evening. It underscored what I had heard the day before and reminded me, once again, that words matter. I am trying to take more seriously what I say, how I say it and think more seriously of the impact of my words on others. I am remembering that dehumanizing and demonizing others led to acts of genocide during WWII, and in Rwanda. So, this is my Lenten challenge. Think, breathe, pray and respond thoughtfully.
