Franciscan Action Network and the Franciscan Network for Migrants hosted a webinar on Root Causes of Migration on May 17, 2023 where we heard a very interesting presentation on the history of migration from a global perspective. The stories of Ciro and Yaneth and their families’ migration experience through the Darien Gap in Panama gave pause while Salvadorian Friar Rene Flores, OFM offered the Franciscan perspective of providing consistent support to migrants.
