As people of faith who walk in the footprints of Jesus and Francis of Assisi, Franciscan Action Network (FAN) refuses to give up hope that pernicious Title 42 will be terminated. The injunction by a federal judge was extremely disappointing to thousands of migrants, predominantly Black and Brown, who still wait to seek asylum in the United States from violence, danger, and extreme poverty in their home countries. We continue to call on elected officials to reject all attempts to maintain Title 42, reminding them that their decisions impact real lives of children, women, and men. And we urge President Biden to do everything in his power to keep his commitment to end this inhumane policy.
