The staff of the Franciscan Action Network has once again committed to join our partners at Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) to jump into the icy waters for the 2022 Virtual Polar Bear Plunge. CCAN has been recognized as “the best regional climate organization in the world” by Bill McKibben. We consider them our good friends and delight in participating with them in this event each year.
Last year, things were “online” due to the pandemic and several staff members recorded themselves “plunging” in various locations, including one who made snow angels in her backyard! Watch our 2021 Polar Bear Plunge here:
Because this year’s plunge is hybrid, virtual jumpers are again being encouraged to join in the fun nationwide, while in-person jumpers will be braving the water at the National Harbor once again.
But, before we Plunge, we need your help raising funds!
