We are excited to announce our participation in Encounter for Our Common Home, a new national campaign for climate solutions.

This Spring, join Franciscan Action Network and people of faith across the country for this weeks-long U.S. Catholic training and advocacy campaign to encounter and urge our U.S. Senators to support climate solutions now for the sake of our most affected neighbors, our future, and our common home, advocating from a place of faith and reason. Our approach – of both faith and reason – rests finally on faith, seeking to go to the heart of that shared concern, with the hope of manifesting a change of heart.

When you click join today, you will be the first to hear of campaign events, including:

  • Community-building events
  • Webinars on our faith and climate action
  • Young Adult materials and engagement
  • Trainings
  • Resources
  • Action alerts

… All culminating in a “Week of Encounter”: Virtual or in-person meetings with U.S. Senators the week of May 2-6, 2022. We hope you will join us in this journey.

We urge you to continue joining Catholics across the country and urge your senators to support funding for climate solutions that lower national greenhouse gas emissions and help communities build resilience against the impacts of climate change. Find an action alert here with sample language. You are encouraged to personalize your correspondence with your own concerns and experiences.
