Breaking Fast, Recommitting to Action - Oct.18, 2013

The government may be shut down, but we are not giving up on immigration reform.  Come to the Table—Join us as we break our fast and recommit ourselves to action for comprehensive immigration reform.

More than 10,000 people of faith in 46 states have been fasting for immigration reform and praying for Congress to do the right thing and support immigration reform that unites families and includes a roadmap to citizenship for 11 million of our brothers and sisters. After 40 days of fasting and prayer, we are renewed and recommitted to fair and just immigration reform.  We call on members of the House to come to the table and vote for comprehensive reform in time for a true Thanksgiving celebration!

Join us in Washington on October 18, 11:15-12:30 at the Lutheran Church of the Reformation, 212 East Capitol Street, NE, Washington, DC 20003. Senior Pastor, Rev. Michael D. Wilker will lead us in prayer, share his own experience of the these 40 days of Fast Action, and invite us to share a meal.

Plan your own local “break fast” event.  Share a simple prayer with other fasters.  Gain strength from the faith and testimony of others. Call on the House to pass compassionate immigration reform before Thanksgiving. Let us know how you break the fast email us at info@fastaction.us
