In our continuing work on the social injustice of human trafficking, Executive Director, Patrick Carolan represented FAN at a meeting at the USCCB with representatives from ACRATH (Australian Catholic Religious Against Trafficking in Humans) last month. This meeting lead to great networking of ideas for ways to raise general awareness and advocate for victims.
The US Conference of Catholic Bishops has called on several faith based organizations to recreate the Catholic Coalition on Human Trafficking, of which FAN will be a part. A theme of global collaboration and collegial action emerged at the conclusion of the meeting. If your parish would like to be involved in the coalition, please let us know.
