2017 Cardinal McCarrick Award Honoring Unity Productions Foundation

Registration is closed for this event
Please join us at this year's Cardinal McCarrick Award event where we are proud to be honoring the staff of Unity Productions Foundation for all their work bringing Muslims and Christians together through the docu-drama, "The Sultan and the Saint" (Photo: November 2016 World Premiere of the film in Washington, D.C.)

The paradigm of building equitable communities resonates deeply with us, especially as racial tensions become more apparent each day in this country. Similar tensions exist between faith traditions, with disproportionate hate and distrust directed towards Muslims and Muslim-Americans. According to multiple sources, public attitudes towards Muslims and Islam as a faith have become increasingly negative over the past fifteen years, largely supported by media rhetoric. This is why FAN was both honored and excited to partner with Unity Productions Foundation (UPF) to bring about this film that serves as a counter-narrative to inspire Muslims, Christians, and others to take risks for peace and greater understanding.

We hope you can join us as we take this oportunity to acknowledge and honor our friends at Unity Productions Foundation for their "Franciscan-hearted" work on this film.
