Vatican Makes Dramatic Move on Nuclear Weapons Stance

On the feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, patron of the United States, the Vatican made a statement moving the official Church position on nuclear weapons away from nuclear deterrence and in support of abolition.  December 8th was the first day of the Vienna Conference on the Humanitarian Impact of Nuclear Weapons.
