The following is a statement from Franciscan Action Network Executive Director Patrick Carolan:

“The horrific killing of six people in Kalamazoo, Michigan over the weekend with a semi-automatic pistol once again reminds a nation numb to gun violence that our politicians must act. Our prayers are not nearly enough,” said Franciscan Action Network executive director Patrick Carolan, “We are our brothers and sisters keepers, and together we must demand that our politicians act to ensure the safety of innocent bystanders who are slaughtered on a daily basis due to senseless handgun violence.”
