The June webinar of the Climate Campaign focused on how our individual diet and food purchasing choices contribute to global warming. A dietician and member of the Hunger & Environmental Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group spoke about how our diet affects climate change and how climate change affects the foods we eat.
Teri Underwood, R.D., M.S., C.D. is the founder of Sustainable Diets, a nutrition education company specializing in one-on-one nutrition counseling, writing, presentations, and environmental nutrition. She is an award-winning registered dietitian with over 29 years’ experience as a counselor and clinical nutritionist.
Teri has held numerous leadership positions with environmental and nutrition organizations and has a passion for educating the public about the profound connection between the American diet, disease, climate change, and ecological health.
She is a Climate Leader trained by Former Vice President and Nobel Laureate Al Gore, Chairman of the Climate Reality Project. She is dedicated to the project mission: unleashing a global cultural movement demanding action on the climate crisis.
