As we prepare to honor fathers and the immeasurable contributions they make on their children, families and communities this Father’s Day (June 19), we pray for the families separated by immoral detention and deportation. This Father’s Day, we pay special attention to the impact this separation has on both fathers and their children.
Attached below is a toolkit put together by Interfaith Immigration Coalition, of which FAN is a member. It contains explanations of current detention and deportation laws as well as personal stories, prayers and ways you can take action.
One way to take action today is to sign and share the ‘Dads Ask Dads’ Letter to President Obama and DHS Secretary Johnson asking them to protect fathers like themselves from immoral deportation and detention systems.
We want to wish all fathers a Happy Father's Day and we continue to work toward comprehensive immigration reform.
