FAN Endorses Statement on Human Trafficking

Human trafficking, also known as trafficking in persons (TIP), is a modern-day form of slavery - both sex trafficking and labor trafficking. It is a crime under state, federal and international law. It is currently the second-largest type of criminal activity, exceeded only by the illegal drug trade.

The Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility drafted a statement of principles and recommendations for confronting human trafficking and modern slavery, which FAN signed. We urge your community to learn more about this horrible crime and to support organizations which work to eradicate this practice.

Exploiters and clients at all levels should make a serious examination of conscience both in the first person and before God!
